When I am on the voting page with all the thumbs, do they appear in the same order on everyone's screen? If so then the ones on the last pages probably get the least votes for obvious reasons. What does the software (script) rely on for determining the order they appear on our screens? Shouldn't they be randomized whenever we refresh our page or come back to it later on?

I believe they are randomized for everyone.
EDIT: Sorry, what I mean is, I believe they are in a different order for everyone. I don't mind that they aren't randomized when I return (as long as I'm logged in).

That's correct. Everyone receives a random ordering when they first go to vote, and that random ordering remains locked in for that person throughout the challenge. So everyone has a different, but consistent, order. That's the fairest way, I think.
