Photo Fest @ LBCC

General info from Website (see site for more details):
The first annual PhotoFest@LBCC will be held at LBCC with four days of free photography-related events and celebrations on April 15, 16, 17th and 19th. The festival will bring together a wide array of accomplished photographers from Southern California and will showcase the work of renowned photographic artists and photojournalists. The goal is to celebrate photography and its impact on our world.

The main emphasis of the festival will be the workshops, demonstrations and seminars held over a three-day period. These events are free, open to students and the general public as well, and are suitable for all levels of expertise. The festival will feature a Photography contest that is open to all LBCC students as well as a âjuniorsâ section for high school students. The closing exhibition and reception will showcase work from the LBCC photography program as well as reveal the photography contest winners.

Dates and Locations
Festival Seminars will be held at the Pacific Coast Campus Photography Facility on Tuesday, April 15th, Wednesday April 16th and Thursday April 17th. The campus is located at 1305 E. Pacific Coast Hwy in Long Beach, CA.
Closing Reception and Exhibition will be held at the Mark Anthony Gallery in the East Village Arts District Saturday evening, April 19th, from 6:00pm â 9:00pm.

I don't know how good the presenters are but it is free so some of the locals might be interested.

I wish I could go, but I work those days and get home too late to drive down to LB from Pasadena/Glendale. Oh boo! Plus, I leave on the 17th for a wedding in FL. Post a review for those who go! :)

Finally working, plus 3.48 for gas, and the two hour drive....I don't know if I will make it either.

Still thinking about it.
