I was wondering if anybody has ever gotten a replacement hood for a tamron 17-50. I fell while hiking on an icy trail and hit the lens against a rock. i'm pretty sure the lens is fine, but the hood broke. I have looked on the internet and i cannot find anybody that sells replacement hoods. I've even gone to a couple shops and they say they have the lens and hood, but they cannot sell me the hood alone. Does anybody know where to get one? (preferably a website) Should i contact Tamron and buy directly from them?

All I could find was this:

If you have the model number for the broken hood you should be able to google it or search on sites like Adorama and B & H. |

| BHPhoto but it seems they have to order from manufacture and probably drop ship it to you. |

I have a question though. The hood listed in BHPhoto says it works for both the 28-75 and the 17-50. Shouldn't the hoods be different since the field of view covered is different?
