Welcome to this week's "Member of the Week" post. Every Sunday I will post the name of a member or user and a link to their profile. This will be our Member of the Week. Go have a look at their profile page and/or portfolio. Enjoy their photos, leave some comments and most of all post one or two of their photos in this thread so others can see them and enjoy them. If you like you can also write a little blurb saying why you enjoy this member's photos.
This week's Member of the Week is Lisa Minogue, iamwoman. And here are a couple of her photos.

Lisa's photography exhibits joy and vibrance, characteristics which I'm quite sure describe her as well as her photography. She loves life, she loves people, she's caring and very giving. And all this from her photography and interaction here.
I've posted a few above, but I'll repost one of my favorites that figaro already chose - it's definitely worth the visit.
Congrats, Lisa!

One of my favorites from the portfolio.
Love the composition on this. There is discussion of the overlay in the comments of the shot, which I'm presuming is the pattern that was added in post processing. It's an interesting touch, giving the wall a tapestry look and feel - good for 'textures'. This would be an interesting shot printed onto canvas.
Cheers,

OH MY!!!!!!!!!!!
I am weeping. I opened this thread to see what wonderful photographer Karen picked this week for me to discover and I actually gasped and could barely catch my breath when I saw it was me.
Karen I cannot begin to tell you what an honour this is.
I feel touched beyond belief.
Photography and particularly DPC is one of the only places in the world where I truly feel like I am ME - that you have noticed and even cared for the images I present means more than I can described.
I am humbled and so very, VERY grateful.

Hi DPCER's,
May I also join in the chorus and bestow honour on not just a wonderful photographer, but a wonderful person. Lisa is an extraordinary human being with a great big heart and the most encouraging and uplifting person you would ever meet.
When we ran our first dpc melbourne connect group, I had the privilege of meeting Lisa. She is a real gem, and it was an honour to have her with us.
The bestowing of this recognition is superb, so thank you Karen for posting this and selecting her. I wish everyone had the opportunity to meet her. When my D200 died after I dropped it in the sea before I was chased by a crazed man one morning, Lisa's kindness and encouragement shone through for me. She was supportive and lovely and a true friend, and we were strangers (sort of, apart from dpc).
I could only imagine how much fun the Minogue household has.
Congratulations Mrs Lisa Minogue...you deserve this! You are a blessing...
Your Friend at dpc,
Enzo |

Let me add to the chorus of approval.
Lisa is exactly the sort of person DPC is (or should be) all about, participative and positive and always quick to give both advice and constructive criticism. Blessed with a great sense of humour she is also one of the few people I know who can actually photograph the love that her family share in a way that leaves the viewer with no doubt that they are sharing not just a picture but an emotion. Check out for a lovely example of this
The other great thing is seeing how her photography has evolved during the time I have known her on DPC and from feeling I was on a par with her I am now most definitely eating her dust
A great photographer and an even better person

Wonderful choice. I have always enjoyed LIsa's work. She has way of showing real life moments in a very original unforced way. A very natural photographer and an extremely gifted one. |

Awesome pick! I love Lisa's portfolio and feel that she has an incredible vision and sense of style. I truly believe that her soul shines through her photos and are an inspiration to me. I am still learning and developing as a photographer but I hope that someday I can have the effect on someone with my photos that she has had on me. Truly one of the photographers on this site that I look up to and admire, congrats Lisa and keep shining through your work! Trevor~
