5-10 years ?? More like two to three years. The problem in making a big purchase in any fast moving technology, is that whatever you buy will be overtaken with something better and cheaper in the next two to three years whether it is Cameras, PC's, Plasma TV's etc etc.
I think the D3 looks fabulous, but here's the thing, if you buy the D300 and a pile of glass, the glass will stay with you long after you have changed the D300 for the D400 or even the D500. |

I don't know about that...
I think the low light ISO ability rests in the full frame sensor and I think they'll keep them pretty expensive. Or as cheap as the Canon 5D has gotten but no less. |
