Choose your 'crime' and capture an image in the 'crime' 'scene'.

I'm not sure about this one. I know I would love the clever type of shot that for instance Shannon ( Scalvert) would come up with, but I don't care for dark, gory images full of blood and violence.

Can't wait to see someone's sheets under the blacklight!

how about making it in b&w.......take out some of the gore factor
03/05/2008 05:48:55 PM · #8
maybe if you made it basic challenge and black and white it may not be so gory. I can see it reallllllllllly turning into a gore fest otherwise

But, 'crime' scenes are not always just murder... think, jewelry heist, bank robbery, breaking and entering, etc... there are and could be SO many cool things to come from this!! :)

I think this is a great idea!!

I don't think the gore should be a problem....Look at CSI, man if they can get away with putting that stuff on cable...people don't have to look/participate/vote if they are offended by it......you know, viewer discretion is advised...

Hehe... it took me all of 4 seconds to think up an idea. Gore free, of course. ;-)

I'm also opposed due to the gore factor. The day something like this makes the front page is the day I'll have to seriously reconsider coming here.

Some people are just like that.

Oh, I think this could be fun...or at least it could be if we think beyond the obvious...I always thought of this shot as a sort of 'crime' 'scene' with a twist of humor. It needn't be all blood and guts.

That is not a 'crime' 'scene' until the murderer is gone ;) hehe

I love the idea of a 'crime' 'scene' challenge given that there are many different types of 'crime' scenes. I agree that the gratuitous use of gore may be unnecessary since most murder scenes aren't as gory as one might think. I think this could be a good test of creativity, though most 'crime' 'scene' photos are kind of dull.
