I would like to get better information about the themes but i have no idea where to find it..
My english is good but far from perfeckt so I had problems hitting the theme. Like textures, mudane and so on. Off screen Expectation??
I understand it like a feeling for something outside of the photo so just the feeling get captured and then you are suppose to see what he is feeling like. But somehow i think not everybody are gonna take facepictures... Can someone help me and tell me where i can get better information about the themes when you have problems understanding them because i hate troughing good ideas in the wrong theme |

This forum is the only place to get more info on the themes. Just post a question and someone will help you. If its a general theme, you can search for examples of it on the net.
Good luck... |

asij, the only official details are the ones you see at the top of the page when you click on the challenge's title. Beyond that your own interpretation is as valid as anyone's. You can usually pick up some pointers in these forums but they are not official. Sometimes looking at the Archieves of past challeges can be helpful, and there is always the dictionary. Good Luck! |

Off screen Expectation?? Can someone explane it in a diffrent way?
For exampel...
Can i take a pic from a 100 m cliff or does that has to be outside of the photo and the reaction of the person seeing the cliff closeup (frightening) in the photo??? |

Remember to always read the challenge detail. "Your subject should be shot and cropped (and posed, as it were) to imply something exciting, frightening, REALLY COOL, yummy, tempting, or otherwise compelling somewhere past the edge of the image".
So your example would work. Of course if you have models that are great actors you don't have to go near a cliff just have the proper background to fool the viewer.

How about a photo of the faces in a crowd at a scary movie at the exact moment that they all react to a particularly scary scene? Your timing would have to be really good, and of course they would probably toss you out for firing your flash in the theater, but I bet it would make a good pic for the challenge.
