Would like to get some tips on sunrise and sunset photography...
Also would like to get a moonrise photo...
I took this one this morning and will go back this evening for sunset and moonrise...
Would really like technical advice, settings, filters, etc...

it looks good to me
sometimes I use a Netural density filter, and sometimes I dont, sunsets and such are pretty easy with the 7x7 with the live preview, I have a harder time with my D60 cause I dont want to fry my eyeball, but here are some samples I have done with my Sony 707 and with my D60.
Also the camera settings will be different, but I typically use an f6 to f8 on the Sony and adjust the shutter speed to get different affects

It´s a nice image. Since the sun is partly sheelded by clouds you maybe should have give it a litle longer exposure. Also I would have liked it a litle warmer. Sometimes when I´ve been taking sunset pictures or pictures in the early morning or late afternoon I´ve set the white balance manually by pointing the lens to the blue sky (hope you understand).
Tech out this one:

Hey Garlic, I used auto white balance, but setting it using the blue sky sounds interesting...
thanks... |

That's a beautiful shot Jeffery. You probably already know this, but I generally aim for the brightest point (aside from the sun itself) to deepen the sky and bring out surrounding colors. Sometimes a "cloudy" white balance setting helps, too.
Edit- note that the moon is a sunlit scene! Set white balance accordingly.
