March - month of blending - posting thread

Week four - I thought we could try the hue, colour, luminance and saturation blending modes. See the OP for the descriptions then experiment away.

cliff and cow blended with luminosity @ 40% - cow receding into the cliff

I guess the enthusiasm has worn off. Only a few days left in this month.

Even if you haven't had a chance to try all the blending modes mentioned in this thread, feel free to post your thoughts on the ones you tried, found most useful, interesting etc.

I think the most fun was had with difference and exclusion blending modes as they are ones rarely used during regular processing. It was fun to see the weird results.

As far as the remaining ones go, most are used during regular processing so it didn't seem like much of an experiment. More like doing the same old, same old.

Geoff,

Thanks for your input into the thread. It helped a lot.

The lack of participation is probably a lot to do with expectations. I didn't intend it to be a daily posting thread like the others. More of a show your experiments with a specific set of blending modes. Narrow the choices to make it easier to come up with something. It obviously didn't turn out that way.

Oh well.
