These Side Challenge threads are driving me bonkers. There's just too many of them. The shear number of them "pollute" the regular DPC that I came to know and love....
The only trouble is ... there are a couple of threads that I want to monitor. Like the SP thread. I love seeing what people are doing there. But if I "Hide" the Side Challenges forum, then the SP thread disappears off of my front page. There are a few others as well.
The only solution I've come up with so far is to IGNORE every Side Challenge topic that I'm not interested in. But there are dozens of new ones every day, so I have to keep going into threads that I'm NOT interested in, just so I can mark that thread to be ignored.
It would be nice if I could set the Watched status of the threads I'm interested in, and hide everything else in the side challenges forum.
Thanks,
David

I think you can. I have the side challenge thread completely on ignore (eta, as in switched off in the preferences), but have the one or two challenges I take part in as watched threads. Works ok for me.

I put "ignore" on this thread, and I won't see it on my first page again :P |

Doesn't work for me. Are you sure your "watched threads" are showing up on the FRONT PAGE for you?
I just unhid the side challenges. Now I see "Feb08 SP postings...Let's see ya" show up on my front page. Now I went back and hide the side challenges. Poof, it's gone again. And yes, it is set to Watch.

Oh, see what you mean, sorry, misunderstood, mine are showing in the watched threads [thumb]651543[/thumb] section, not on the front page. TOTALLY missed the point, sorry! On the other hand, I find this way is not that instrusive either.
ETA. It would be a great enhancement!

Alternatively it would be useful if we could change the status of a thread directly from the front page without having to open it up. |

I totally agree. I turned off the side challenge threads for a while but there is a few that I like to follow so I turned them back on; but it seems like half the threads on the front page are tourneys or side challenges that I am not in or following. This would be a good addition. |

Maybe the initial post to join or enter these side challenges appears on the home page, but as soon as it becomes active with other posts (or after one day or so), it is not seen by those who have it turned off by default. |
