not another Farside for this week???

I think the photo will go over ok, the desat is only in one tone and doesn't change the black and white of the photo. I am just getting the jitters because I think I have a really nice submission this time.

If I were you, especially since you think it's a nice entry, I wouldn't use ANY desaturation whatsoever. I'll bet you a beer that if you end up going through a validation you'll get DQ'd. Judging from the last B&W in Colour challenge, some colour is OK.

I agree. I would strongly recommend avoiding desaturation for this challenge.

Hmmm...you guys reckon one can bump up brightness and contrast?

Well, after dwelling on the shot I decided to re-shoot and submit the new one. I think I desaturated all the yellow(or the majority of it) which was the only color that was in the shot. The new shot, which is not as good, has only a few adjustments making it very exceptable by challenge standards.

Thanks for the replies on this issue.
