I wanted to point out a couple quick site enhancements that Drew & Langdon have made. Suggestions related to both of these items have been previously requested here in this forum.

1) The "Community Features" page now displays active forum topics in the last 24 hours instead of just "Active Today". You can get to this page by clicking on the "Community" menu item itself (and not one of the menu sub-items) and you'll be taken to this page. This is an improvement for everyone, since it makes it easy to see which topics have been active in the last day. Previously, it only displayed topics which were active since midnight, Eastern time, which isn't nearly as helpful.

2) When you are viewing challenge entry thumbnails and you want to comment on an image (by clicking the little icon), the window that opens up is now resizeable, and pre-set to almost fill your screen. This is to allow an "undistracted" view of the photo while you enter your comment without having to perform extra window-sizing operations. This is an improvement since the old window that popped up was forced to 800x600 and was not resizeable. In addition, the comment area has been expanded to 10 lines from 4, making it feel "less cramped" when you want to leave a longer comment.

Nice idea, but unfortunately, for us multiscreen, 1 desktop guys, it now means I have to resize every time, since it opens up with the center of the image and comment box split between the two screens, with the bezel in the middle.

Can this remember the last size? Or can I configure this im my profile please!

What's your total resolution? I assume the script is getting the resolution of the two monitors combined. I could check for a large width and divide it by two. I'm guessing anything over 1600 should be safe to cut in half..

THANKS so much for the comment window thing - it was driving my NUTS!

Yes, that would work fine. I have two 1280x1024 monitors making a desktop of 2560x1024. Also, if it's not too much trouble, the window should not center itself, or it will still be split between the two monitors. (But at least moving it each time is easier than resizing and moving it!)

The most annoying thing to me about websites in general has now been fixed! I've always hated it when my browser size was hi-jacked by some webpage that pretends to know exactly what size I want to see stuff. Thanks for this one!

Hi Langdon,
I run a high resolution (2048x1536) on a single monitor, and I think your fix for the "multi-monitor blues" would be a benefit for me as well. I would add that you may want to code for a maximum size, so those of us running high resolutions don't get a huge window that obscures most of our screen. Prolly not really useful to have the window pop up any larger than 1024px wide, true?
For single monitors, I don't see the box popping up off-center as a problem at all.

This is good, but I find it odd that the name of the most recent poster isn't listed as well.

Yeah, I mentioned the same thing, but D&L only have so much time on their hands... baby steps... =]
