I'm in on Environmental portrait. I feel good about it but my portrait history isn't encouraging

Scores can change as votes from people who didn't make 20% are scrubbed. |

I want you to know I am right here on the side lines cheering for MY team.

Just send me a message before rollover to remind me to do it. Once I have his naem (which I do now) I will update his score AFTER rollover but before I post the new scores.

Nope. I'm in with a shot I predict will easily end my streak of 6+ scores. That's what I get for waiting until the last minute. Again.
I wouldn't even enter except I don't want to miss out on the Olympics fun again, and I've already missed three challenges in a row (counting two on Sunday nights).
Barbara, have a safe trip and bring DPC's full love and support to bear. :)

Sorry I've been out of the loop - I've been feeling very DP challenged lately and have been in a rut. I've been taking pictures everyday now for a week to try and get past this - so hopefully things will turn around.
My entry for environmental portrait currently is a 6.2. I would love to see it stay above a 6.
We are thinking about you Barbara - have a safe trip. |

I'm very pleased with all of our participation in the olympics. We may not have the highest average, but we are all in the game!
Jeffrey I got a kick out of reading your blurry mess outtake...you really did just miss it! You must be the king of procrastination :) I hope you get your 4th 6 in a row! I'm on my 3rd in a row after a terrible rut.
Speaking of ruts, I'm sorry to hear that you are in one Jeni, but it looks like your portrait will bring you out! It is amazing how we go through these slumps and can't seem to get a good shot and then all of a sudden something clicks and we come out (for a little while!)...

I like that we have 4 in fences and 3 in EP...we put ourselves at a dissadvantage last week by most of us entering in the same challenge! It seems best to diversify in case a challenge has a low voting average.

I agree. It seemed to me that blurry mess would score lower. I am right. The median score for Blurry mess was 5.1 and the average score for pollution was 5.4.

Jason: if you liked that outtake story, you'll enjoy this one, too. This mistake cost me a slot in the late stages of the hotpasta tourney (I had higher scores than the folks I would've faced for two or three more rounds):
I may be looking at my first unexpected sub-5 score in a year or so in environmental portrait. Which is ok, actually.

looks like my fence is at a 6.25, it went as high as 7.5 last night which made oober excited but it must have come down sense... :(
