why dont we go ahead and split up whos going to try and shoot what for the next set so we can be sure to diversify...

I think im going to be able to get something for patterns

glad to see all those sixes! It's been a while.
My fence is still mugwumping at 5.6.
I'm thinking of patterns, but may change.
hard to pin down just what to do.

Mine is dropping as well...down to 5.9 so far :(

I think it will be hard to divide up...I think patterns will be easier to shoot for and much easier to avoid DNMC votes. I have some ideas for both, but don't really know which ones will work. "Patterns" should be a high scoring challenge anyway so it probably won't matter if we all shoot for that. As long as we don't all shoot for Intamacy which could be a very low scoring one, I think we will be OK.

Hey, folks, did you notice? We have two points and are in 9th place! Lots better than tied for last!

9th Place 5.8310 USA (2)

In other news, the five brigade is out in force,
and my wump is now lower than my mug
in fences. those who know the expression will figure that one out.

LOL. I was surprised, since we had no points when I looked last night. :)

Congrats on your new personal best, Chris! Talk about stomping the old one flat.

My env. portrait has pulled up to 4.9, but I don't expect it to climb much beyond that.

I know that in the middle of the DPC Olympics isn't a good time to try something new, but I'm proud of my EP however it does. (Right now it seems to have stabilized at 5.5.) I've never been good at portraits and This was my first experience shooting raw. I also finally learned about white balance on my camera...Hopefully we can gain some points this week! I know I'll be better in the future.

Hey, I saw a great quote on this point:
People who say their education is finished aren't educated. They're just finished.

As far as I'm concerned, I'd rather see you try new stuff and learn on a supportive team than not grow. :)

Absolutely! Couldn't agree more. Anytime you want to try some crazy off the wall idea please feel free...

Thanks for the support! I'm off to Manchester NH for another Motorcycle show. Hopefully I'll see something for Patterns.. I doubt I'll get something for intimacy.. Bikers aren't really demonstrative like that. but....

LOL, now's your chance to get way out of the box and take a photo of an "intimate moment with a biker and his first love"....

Actually, that's a FANTASTIC concept. If you can find a friendly biker, see if you can get them to let you shoot them caressing their bike lovingly. The bigger, brawnier, and fiercer looking the biker, the better.

Or if you can get a biker bashfully giving a flower to someone, that'd be good, too. It's the unusual shot that does well. There will be a zillion handholding shots, images of people caressing someone's face, hugs and kisses, etc.

Your right, I found out in the pollution theme, my first idea will probably not be the only entry like that.(Smokestack with smoke/steam) In a perfect world, I can get a photo of a biker (maybe even a hells angel) with a stuffed bunny...LOL. Fortunately I know a bunch of these guys and I have the "HAYMOND Girls" at my disposal. I'm not above asking them to schmooze someone for me.

HaHa! DO it! (but maybe don't talk about it here any more.)

In other news, on my mugwumping fence, my wump is almost back up to my mug again.

If anyone is around, I just posted some images to "the other" place.
