All of a sudden out of the blue my PS CS3 which has worked fine for months will not "save" or "save as" a newly opened photo. However the save for web still works.
any thoughts or suggestions? |

I've never heard of that specific problem but when weirdnesses occur I find the following checks useful:
- check system logs (manage -> event logs)
- virus/trojan scanning
- reboot (if long uptime)
- reinstall application
If things are still weird after reinstalling the app (don't forget to backup /presets etc) then a more serious approach is a reinstall of the OS. This is especially warranted if you've got a machine that hasn't been wiped for a year or two (for heavy users).
Sorry I can't be of any more specific help. Are there any other system errors that might help>?

if you still have the install discs, you might try to reinstall it......just a suggestion :) |

The only thing I can add to the description of the problem is that when I give up and try to close PS it will ask if I want to save but when I click yes it states could not complete the because of a program error |
