Hey folks, I was out snapping some shots tonight and got what looks like really bad lens flair on this image.
See the ghost lights nears the glass roof?
So, my questions are: would this have been fixed by a lens hood? Or is this normal for shooting wide open at 28mm for this lens?

| Most likely caused by a filter you have on your lens. Sometimes caused by the lens itself with the internal lens elements. I would try removing your filter if you have one on the lens, usually cuts down on the ghosting for me. Trevor~ |

| Hmm, well there wasn't a filter on the lens. I guess this may just be a limitation of the lens. If I had stopped it down, might it have made a difference? |

Looks like fog/haze to me.
Edit: No, a lens hood won't help that straight on light. Lens hoods handle flare from the side or from above.
Wait, I was looking at the wrong place, but still a hood isn't going to handle the flare from lights in frame.
