Yo,
I have an oppoturnity to get one of these lenses for a decent price. Does anyone here use one? I couldn't find it in the DPC lens menu thing.
What do you think of this lens in question? Good, bad, middling? |

| The Canon 28-70 was made by Canon from 1993-2002. With that said, it's probably a few years old, so keep that into consideration. Reviews are very good for this lens though, some saying the contrast is even better than the 24-70 that replaced it. Check out some reviews here. If you get a really good deal on it, go for it. If it's not much less than you can get a newer 24-70, I'd say go for the 24-70. |

Don't have one, but...
I looked into buying either the:
17-40
24-70
I just rented both and choose the 17-40 because it was cheaper and lighter. It does weigh 2.1 lbs (that's 950g) according to b&h. Make sure you're okay with lugging around 2 extra pounds. Of course, if you go the "L" route, you'll have to get used to the weigh (the 70-200f2.8IS is 3.5lbs).
