I have a photo that I had taken a while ago, and my wife would like me to enlarge it, probably onto a canvas, around 60cm (24 inches) wide.
I'd like to hear your comments on the image itself, and possibly what I might need to consider before making it big. The original was taken on my old P&S. It's a 5 megapixel JPG image, so I won't get away with a normal photo print that big, but I can probably get away with canvas.
There is a bit of nasty noise in the sky, but that can be easily dealt with in editing.
The rest of the image is not so great photographically - the roof and the beach sand are blown out. Not much can be done about that, except ignore it.
Straightening the horizon is easy.
Anything I should address before printing?
Any special recommendations for sharpening for a big print?
General comments/critiques of the image would also be appreciated. :)

Wow, you did very well to pick the image from my folio on my description! Great detective work! Yes, apologies - I forgot the image link. I've added it now. :) |

Nice color and angle. Try cropping just below the rocks below the pier and see what you think. |

Thanks. The photo is already on my wall. :) I fixed up the noise, levelled the horizon, tweaked the contrast and colours. It looks good at 51cm x 71cm.
