oh i think i understand now XD takes me a while. Do you mean taking the top 3 scores and using them as the average?

You really didn't get it? umm

okay, each team plays, the top three scores of that team are put down each week. at the end of the tourney the team with the highest score wins.
Week 1

USA-15.006
Germany-20.9800
Iceland -100.999
Tropical Isle -no points as they where chasing girls
Aussies- 21.0000

Week 2

etc etc etc

Do you just continually add the score up of the top 3? Cause i'm not sure what you mean by points. Are the points the score?

So like: I got 5.6 and Qart got 6.8 so it would be 11.4?

Stopped chasing girls for the moment .... if we were to sum up the scores then I would prefer summing up the top 5 instead. At least this gives a chance for the not so hot guns to contribute to the scores ha! ha!

Well i'd like to do top 5, if there were 7 members on each team, but there aren't.

Oh i see, well that would be like averaging out scores and adding it up :P I think?? I kinda wanna use the medal system somehow. Makes it more Olympic-like.

In the last DPL where only the top 4 are counted, our team had all 7 photogs contribute along the way. In the real olympics the medal tally is made up of only the medal winners so thats how this should be IMO.

LETS DO A WEEKLY AVG AND A TEAM AVG. THE ONE WITH THE HIGHEST SCORE WINS.

THIS CRAP IS GETTING OLD.

Well why don't we do that, and take the best 3 teams who have the best score and give them medals, which give them points. So Gold- 5, Silver-3, Bronze- 1

Okay it's settled then. To be honest I'm tired of trying to figure this out, so lets just do it this way. Julie do you wanna write up the instructions since you came up with the idea? Then I'll just put it up on the first post so everyone can see. If you do write it up, just make sure to include the medal system component too.

You don't have to do that. Look at the spreadsheet that I made. It gives you individual average, weekly avg., and overall team avg. Lets make this SIMPLE and go with the top 3 teams with the OVERALL highest avg.

Can you edit the spreadsheet? If you can't we'll have to remove the medal system. But we can still use Juliet's idea about adding up the scores. It says on the spreadsheet Weekly Totals.

I can BUT you are making more work than there needs to be. You want to give points to teams with the highest challenge avg but in the end it will give you that number anyway. So the whole point system is well, point-LESS

The Rules

1. Three players minimum will play each week.

2. Top three scores out of all team players will go to score.

Or 4 or 5. There are some teams who have 2-3 good players, and they will just dominate the whole thing. So we need to get the majority of their members to play
