Though I have been clicking a lot of pics of my baby at home, this is the first time I have actually taken some time out to do photography in last few months (and first time with my XTi and 24-105). Went to a annual handicraft fair, in New Delhi, and clicked some photos. Here are few of them for your critique/comments -

The whole set is nice, but my faves are the old man with the markings on his forehead (I apologize for my cultural ignorance, I'm sure there is a proper term for it) and the young woman with the pretty eyes.
The whole set shows the culture of the people here. Even the one of the girl with the USA hat illustrates that no culture is isolated from others these days, and there are always external influences..

Thanks, Steve for the beautiful words! And thanks to everyone for leaving comments. I will upload some more over the weekend. I'm not too good with processing but I hope to improve over time :)
btw, the markings on head are called "Tilak" and is normally worn by women and holy men. I guess (GUESS) it has something to do with intiutive third eye besides religious significance. |

Tej - I like your work very much. I'd really like to see how you'd handle some really strong images of "untouchables" and their plight. |

Some nice work for sure! Very vivid colors, and I like the DOF in the majority of these creating some very pleasing OOF bg's. |
