I haven't used my backup cam, a Canon Powershot 700, for some time now; I recently transitioned to DSLR. I took it with me to get some shots.

Now, I went to upload pics and the comp refuses to recognize the card reader, holding the card on which I took pix; and the camera itself reads 'corrupted data' when I try to read the details of the shot, ie ISO, aperture etc.

Can I retrieve the data in any way? Or should I just retire the Powershot, which I've only had 18 months, and reformat the card (only 5 mths old if even that) for the DSLR?
