The dollar is getting pretty weak, huh?

Might be time for some of you across the pond to slip on over to B&H :-D

My folks were just in NYC and I sent them to B&H. Pounds to Dollars is still really good so I got another 430ex and and st-e2 for at least 40% of what they would cost here. Wish I'd got the 85mm 1.4 as well...

I travel a lot in my work and the exchange rate has become a joke.

Last summer we went to London (See Best of 2007!). We ate dinner at the Hard Rock Cafe. Hamburger - $25.00 (12.50 Pounds). I don't think a Hard Rock Cafe hamburger costs $12.50 in the US.

From UK-USA it's amazing though. The other way and you get bummed. Hard.

I spent £250 on lighting stuff from B&H last year that would have cost around £400 over here.

I'm going over to MT this year too, and they don't even have sales tax! Hurrah.

Times Square hard Rock Cafe in NYC sells burgers from $10 for the basic burger up to $14 for the big one:

"Garnished With Your Choice of lettuce, Tomato and Red Onions.

Add Grilled onions $1 or Mushrooms $1.

All Burgers Served With Seasoned French Fries or Substitute Onion Rings $2 or Add a Side Salad $4."

Our waiter in London was great, but then he was from Australia.
