That is still up in the air. I have a shoot on Saturday, but I'm looking. It'll be 6 hours of driving.

What time is your shoot over? If you come up in the night, you could stay all day Sunday. We can shuttle you over to the island if you get there before too many beers are consumed.

Here is the updated schedule:

Friday: Kennedy Space Center with dknourek (definitely) and rox_rox(maybe).

Friday Night: Camping on spoil island in Indian River Lagoon. If you like to retire early, there are usually plenty of campsites to allow you space away from those who like to stay up late around the bonfire.

Saturday: Pelican Island, The McLarty Treasure Museum and Sebastian Inlet with dknourek, rox_rox, yakatme* & yakatyou* (*confirmation requested).

Saturday Night: Camping on same spoil island.

Sunday: Boat excursions around the lagoon, looking for dolphins, stingrays, manatees, birds, women in bikinis and anything else photogenic. I will probably stay on the island and fish for our dinner. If I fail, we will have plenty of shrimp and other goodies.

Confirmed, plus one (yakather).

We will be there Saturday morning if not late Friday night. If we arrive Friday night then we will have to stay in a hotel since it will be too late to hassle with a late night trip to the island and camp setup. If we stay overnight in a hotel then we will be able to meet everyone else earlier than if we left Miami Saturday morning.

We will let you know later this week.

Hey guys! I wish I could join you, but I have to fly all day Friday, and will be stuck volunteering at the Valkaria Air Fest on Saturday. I saw on your schedule that you're going down to Sebastian Inlet from Kennedy Space Center. Valkaria Airport is right on your way heading down to Sebastian Inlet. It was quite the turn out last year (especially the hot air balloon display at sunset), so hopefully this year will be even better. Anyway, if anyone is interested in stopping by, I would love to meet some of you.

Awesome! Hope you can drive up Friday night.

I will check out a hotel right down the road from the boat launch.

Hey Casey,
Would love to meet you. Wish I had known about the air show when I was trying to think of things to do. Friday is Dave's day, so I'll leave it up to him to decide what he wants to do. I am working at least half of the day, so I'll be meeting up with him or dropping him off wherever he wants to go.

We can't make it.

I'm very sorry that we have to cancel at the last minute. I had to make the decision this morning but I couldn't get to a computer to let you all know sooner than now.

I'll PM you, Roxanne, with my excuses. For now I can only say that today ended up being the culmination of an extremely rough week on top of a rough two months. The loose ends that I said that I had to clear up to be able to make it in the first place came totally unraveled and I have to tend to them over the weekend.

Again, I am very sorry to have to cancel our trip to meet up with you all.

Roxanne, I told you that we shouldn't call this a GTG considering how nobody shows up when we do so. I just never thought that I would be a 'no-show' one day.

Hey Robert, no problem on the no show. Roxy filled me in and hopefully next time we can all meet and Im hoping to bring my wife also.

I cant say enough about Roxanne and her husband, they were both great. They took me on some awesome tours up the local rivers and seen some of the beautiful local terrain. The wild life also was sweet to see even more so in their natural environments like manatees, dolphins, gators, armadillos and a whole array of gorgeous birds.

Being the only place Ive really traveled up to this last weekend was down the Oregon coast and LA and San Diego, Florida was a real treat and I loved and cherished every moment of being down there. And like I was saying earlier Roxanne and AJ were also awesome and I appreciate everything they did with me and the places they had shown me which without them most likely would have never seen the things I saw.

Anyway Thanks again Roxanne to you and your husband, cant wait till we can get together again in the future :)

hopefully I can get some pics up soon also :)

No if the embarrassing truth must be told, I wear shorts like once or twice a year and decided to go out in shorts one of the days I was out in the boat with Rox and initially forgot to use sun screen until a couple hours later, well long story short I landed in Calgary and went straight to the hospital as my legs were in an immense amount of pain not just the surface but it was way deeper in to the muscle, and they had swollen so much that my legs just ran in to my feet and you couldn't see my ankles at all, so because of the severity of the burns the doctors had me alternating between taking two tylenol3 and a perkaset every 4 hours and to stay off of my feet...

I have no one to blame but myself but IMO it was all worth it being able to spend time in FL with Rox and her husband and getting an almost behind the scenes tour of FL :)

lol yea I am, I'm back at work now and actually wearing jeans, doing much better which is also prob thanks to Rox and her Aloe plant :D

The weird thing is I am/was bright red and almost a purple colour in the ER which kinda freaked out the doctors a bit lol, but the surface its self didn't really hurt, the pain was much deeper and I'm assuming from the swelling it felt at times like my calves were going to split apart :/ But like I said I'm doing way better now :) For a bit there I was thinking that I mite have gotten bit by fire ants to cause the swelling... I can remember swelling from just about anything, I don't even really swell when I break bones so this was a little freaky...
