It may not be an issue at the moment, but come spring/summer in the northern hemisphere, I think the challenges will get bigger again. Besides, it's kinda nice to have two subjects to choose from.

I like "Either/Or Open Challenges", with the titles being "Either (subject)" and "Or (subject)" One could then have the perversely odd goal of entering all the Eithers or all the Ors, and waiting to see what that brings. :-)

I think I came up with the best

"Selective Challange"

That's a different question, and beyond the scope of this thread. Even if exclusive open challenges are no longer needed on a weekly basis (a fair topic for discussion in its own thread, feel free to bring it up), it's not impossible that they'd be brought back once in a while. If they became something occasional, that would mean an even greater need for the description to clearly convey what they are.

That works for me too ... The "Option 1:" and "Option 2:" can be added to the name of the Challenge without taking up more characters in the Challenge title. Good idea Robert.

I like having two open challenges to choose between. Also, I agree the number of entries are likely to rise again.

I like the option of putting the two in a box visually, but if that's too much coding for now, the Option 1 -or- Option 2 works for me. Of course, just adding a few more items to the FAQ, including "What is an Exclusive Open Challenge" would probably solve the problem as well. People have been asking for it since I joined.
