Okay. so i am writing an assignment on how chemistry effects photography,(with digital and film), and i was just wondering if i could get a quote from someone on how chemistry effects it, whether it is the subject itself, or developing an image.

thanks!

:)

Heres a web site that has Photographer quotes on it. You may be able to search for what your looking for

//www.photoquotes.com/

What info do you have, if I/we had a better idea of what you are looking for, the community may be more help.

Wow, isn't film chemistry a rather large topic?

I am no film expert by a long shot, but my understanding is that a healthy handful of the stronger effects are also made possible by controlling your chemistry.

cross-processing is another fun area - as for its effects, I would imagine that thinking ahead would be pretty important there too.

Ooh, here's a twist if you don't want to write about the technical stuff. Do you understand chemistry as the sum of its parts? Or do you see it as the study of deconstruction? Are we approaching the boundaries of knowledge? Does truth lay in finality? Consequently, is photography building up to something or is it finding truth by stripping things down to their core? Is style the product of our environment or is it introspective discovery? Are art and science one and the same?

It's been a few years, but check out The End of Science by Horgan and The Art Spirit by Henri.
