FocusPoint claims that the best shot he took all year also happens to be the last shot he took in 2007. While the rest of us have to wait 2 weeks to see his contribution to this thread, lets see if we can challenge his shot as the best last photo of the year.
So, good, bad or ugly, lets see your VERY LAST photo of the year 2007!

Well I though, OK will honestly put in whatever the last photo I took was, no matter what, and got a pleasant surprise as to what it was.

4 minutes before midnight... no editing, straight out of camera. USM after resize.
Here's quick edit, too:

I went for a walk in the park on Jan 31, took a lot of photos. This was the last one I took.

The last photo on my camera in 2007 was of me and my mother's cat jumping away from me. I didn't take it, though.
My first photo of 2008 was of the aeroplane wing as we taxied for take-off at Sydney Airport. ( I also did some in camera multi-exposures as we took off, but I didn't tink they'd do well in that challenge...) |

These 3 portraits were my very last snaps before the end of the year. We went on a family walk on boxing day and this is my Grandad, Dad and sister just before we got in the car to go home. These are straight out of the camera, 0 edits apart from resize. I really like the way these look lined up next to each other, I might have to edit them properly and make a series...

My last shot of the year was while I was out with my daughter shooting for the Timelapse challenge. After we finished that shoot, she was playing around on the rocks acting like Simba the lion. So I set up the tripod to make one of those group shots I'd never done before. This was the last pic of the bunch, which didn't make it into the final image, but still a nice way to end the year:

My last photo is of the grave site of Cpl. Mayes, a buffalo soldier who was given the nations highest honor, but died a pauper in the Arizona State Hospital. |

My last photo of the year - taken on a very dreary day. I wouldn't have processed it at all except for this thread (which is fun), and converted it to BW because there was no color anyway. |

Anybody come closer to the end of the year? My camera says this was 11:59:50 as my dad and my son Isaac sounded a gong, joining in the local celebratory ringing-in of the new year ...

Taken the week before Christmas, through my front window. Lit by the streetlight nearby. This is the last digital shot I took in 2007. Got a raft of polaroids from various Christmas/New Year functions, but nothing scanned. |
