That was one of the sillier sites I have have ever seen...it just smacked of some sort of immaturity to me. The only reason I let it continue loading was because of all of the discussion here...usually I just shut down a site that takes more than a few moments to load, I don't like to waste time on someone who would rather "dazzle" with complex flash sites then their actual work. It was all just terribly distracting.

But what I wish for more than anything is the retirement of the word "amazing"...the poor word has been misused and abused so much lately it has lost all meaning.

Clicking the link here, I get a new window, not maximised. If it's something that takes my interest I'll maximise it, but I didn't in this case. Without, you don't even get the MUTE or SHUFFLE.

Maybe it's my old computer, but I found it laggy. By the time the cursor finally got to a shot I'd already moved my mouse onto and past two others. I don't know, maybe I'm used to the "instant" world, but I really didn't enjoy moving the mouse then having to wait while the whole page gradually drifted up or down, or various other movements.

I DID try a second time, maximising the screen and finding the buttons, and took the time to look at 3 or 4 shots and they were good, but not extraordinary enough to make me fuss with looking at more.

Ha! I try. ; }

Now check this site...much better design and much better, at least more interesting photography. I loved the humor of many of the images. But most importantly, I remember the images and not the website design.

Interesting stuff....check it out.

I kind of like that originally posted site. It only took me a couple of seconds to figure out how to navigate, and I sort of liked the music, it really matched the tone of the website. I also am a big fan of the "photos floating on a table" layout. I had a friend of mine design me a photography website with a similar design. Here's the link: Casey Allen Photography Right now the photos on the site are just placeholders, but you get the general idea. NOTE to the guy who said he blocks any site with music...don't click the link!

If we're still discussing Javier Ferrer Vidal's photos, in my view he is of a different class than Casey Allen. Nobody seems to have really addressed Javier's photos, seeming to be more interested in the unusual design of his site, but he I think he's a far superior photographer to Allen.

I don't know if I'd call him superior. As you say, he's in a different class which makes it a bit like comparing apples and oranges, or DaVinci and Dali.

I admit, though, that I probably didn't give his shots a fair look as by the time I got to them I was not in the most receptive frame of mind.
