| Just had a photo shoot today for a friend named Carly, tell me what you think, I think these may be my best portrait shots so far. She really loves them, and I do to. Would love some critique. |

  these two are my favourites.
Jamie, hard work and persistance is definitely paying dividends. Keep at it - you are certainly heading in the right direction! |

I gotta say ... I LOVE her red hair against the brown and greens in the background. She's a beautiful girl! She was probably a lot of fun to work with.
I like how well you've controlled the DOF in many of these images, adding emphasis to the girl by focusing tightly on her.
I don't like what appears to be motion blur in many of them... it's probably because the sun was going down, or it was overcast, and you were forced to shoot at slow shutter speeds. All I can say is, up the ISO or shoot when there is better light, or use off-camera flash where possible.
But overall, I think you've done really well here. Probably the best images I've seen you post! You're progressing *very* fast!
