What's the name of the effect where when you move a camera, foreground objects appear to change position faster than background objects? I keep thinking something like convex effect but I know its not that...

Ooooh. Time to start planning the grandest time-lapse photo in DPC history for Best of 2008: shoot the stars tonight and superglue your tripod in place. Then shoot the sky again in 6 months. All of the stars will have moved, with the closer ones moving more, because of parallax.
