The rules as they stand right now don't say anything about whether or not the advanced editing rules as they stand now allow for stitching multiple images together to create a longer panorama. Can I get an SC ruling on this? The way I'm thinking of it is a stitched landscape/cityscape panorama.

It's not allowed. According to the rules your framing can't change, so as soon as you point your camera in another direction for the panorama you're in DQ territory. Sorry!

Edit:
Darn I'm getting SLOW in my old age.

I would like to use a similar technique for those times I wish I had a wider angle lens with me. I stitch a couple together to get more of my subject in the final image. And I was told I can't.
