I have several old photos in a triple frame, including my parents wedding picture. I want to scan them, but the photo has adhered to the glass in several spots, so I can't get it out without ripping a piece or two off. Anyone know how to safely remove it? |

Let it soak in warm water (mild dish water if it's stubborn) for a bit... then hang it on a line to dry.

Water was used to process them, and if you get them wet again, they will turn loose, after which you can dry them out again. I don't know how the frame will be about the water, but you may want to try it by putting a damp paper towel on the backs of the photos for a while to see if they turn loose.
If someone has better ideas, I would weigh the options before trying to get the photos off the glass. Someone has been thru this, and knows the best way to get it done.
I would definitely try to photograph them thru the glass before doing anything more, so as to just have a safety copy.

BTW, if you end up having to use soapy water, please rinse it in cold water thoroughly before drying.
