I would LOVE to find out where these shots were taken and go there myself!

Abandoned amusement park.

Wow...what a wonderful place...but I couldn't look at the images for too long...they gave me the heebie jeebies.

That looks like a cool place. Also kind of sad looking. I'm surprised that much stuff was just allowed to sit and decay like that.

There is this one...maybe the photos were shot before they turned it into casino car parks.

# Tivoli Pier (Tropworld Casino and Entertainment Resort, Atlantic City, New Jersey) (1981-1989) - Park converted to new casino space.

There is a defunct amusement park called Freizeitpark Kirchhorst in Saxony, Germany ... listed as "near" Tivoli Friheden in Aarhus, Denmark by the roller coaster database (rcdb.com). It closed in 1985 which would make the period style and state of decay about right. The blog site this came from is in Sweden, so Judi's guess about Tivoli was a good one!

There was an old shut down park called Arkland in Granville County, NC. I will take a ride out there to see what I can find and let you know what if anything is there. If there is anything worth seeing I will take a few photos and post them here.

I've seen those shots before but for some reason I remember them being taken somewhere in Japan. Would LOVE to go there.... the closest I've come was to Coney Island in the off season. Mildly Scooby Doo but nowhere near as much as those shots.

a friend of mine in miami showed me photos of this abandoned stadium there and that was pretty cool too. I was really bummed I wasn't there long enough to go see it.

The big wheel reminds me of the shots of the on Prypiat in the Ukraine (the Chernobyl workers town), that lays abandoned after the disaster. Nice find.

I recently saw a show on tv called " Punk for God", and it was Jim and Tammy Baker's son who is now a punk preacher and he was visiting the PTL site which to my surprise is laying in ruin----very much like this amusement park. He grew up in a fairy tale sort of way, and this religious park was his play ground. He got permission to wander the grounds and everything is still there in some fashion or another----just falling apart. I lived in North Carolina during PTL's hey day, and it was so odd and creepy seeing it like that...
