I haven't done a great deal of sweeping landscapes. On a recent trip to Cozumel and Calica, though, I went armed with my 10-22 and a good polarizer. Having now reviewed the photos, I am of the opinion that the polarizer was too too much. The sky was already a brilliant blue - and now I am (sometimes selectively) desaturating the blues in most of the landscapes.

Previously I wouldn't have even considered the possibility. Live and learn.

oh... one interesting upswing... the super-saturated blues translate wonderfully well to black and white. I may have to keep that in mind when processing future B&W landscapes.
