I like bears. Got some pics of retired show bears here.
Also, Werner Herzog made a really good documentary about Timothy Treadwell - "Grizzly Man" - I couldn't decide if it was more of a comedy though - the guy was nuts.
From the OP-linked story: "Charlie Russell is proving that it is possible to live peacefully with one of the world's most feared and misunderstood creatures."
I think if Timothy Treadwell were alive, he would disagree. :/ |

He was just plain stupid and his stupidity got himself and another person killed.

Interesting response! Thanks for posting that. It is exactly as he says regarding how Herzog got people to think about Treadwell. That said, I still think he was a nut. I don't know enough about the battle between man and grizzley to take sides on the specific issues, but if I learned anything from "Planet of the Apes", I learned that what goes around comes around. :) |
