I haven't been real active lately. I've been hiding in my "studio" trying to figure out "Light". This is some of my latest work. I would appreciate any comments.

Thank You
Bruce

I like the concept and the compositions. I like the eye contact in the third photo.

I'm not entirely sure how I feel about those very dark shadows under her eyes/nose etc.

I would make sure to either get the mirror really dirty (grunge style) or have it spotlessly clean.

Not real sure how to deal with the shadows. The light was high and behind her aimed into the mirror to light her at the camera level. Do you think if I used my second light low and camera right it would have helped?

Thanks for the comment lissylou , it's my favorite too.

I find MM1 to be a little washed out on the colors, though that effect was probably the intent.

MM2 I like, it's very moody. I have not been able to get the hang of doing a grainy b/w myself yet. They just come off as noisy high iso shots.

MM3 is the sexiest of the three. Being a guy, my eye is drawn to... well, you can guess where. The direct eye contact is also a very sexy element. Eyes do more than anything else.

Third shot is the best. Unlike the guy below me I won't lie and say it's the eyes that make the shot, but rest assured it's a keeper.

I like the 2nd one best as it is a bit more dramatic than the other 2 in colour.

I like #2 the best because of the grainy black and white. I find the marks on the mirror distracting but in the black and white shot they really augment the image rather than detract. I can't say why but it just seems like a much more stylish image.

The colour one is lovely and having the subject look at the camera is a really nice view, but in this one the whites of here eyes aren't as pronounced as the second and her eyes look a bit more 'hooded'...which is also why the second shot really appeals to me - her eyes are fantastic.

Thanks for all the comments. As for the mirror , it's an antique , the look is behind the glass. I thought it looked pretty cool.

Off to bed...... Or maybe one more Patron
