Are we going to get one this year?
If so, I think that 1 week to upload it and 1 week of voting would be enough |

I like your 1 week/1 week suggestion. I just looked and Best of 2006 wasn't posted until January 5 last year.
Oh, and let's have an 800 pixel max.

I assume you haven't read the recent thread on the new rules? There will be no expert editing challenges for a while.
As announced by Langdon:
We have plans to revise Expert (and likely rename it) at a later date, so until then there won't be any Expert challenges

Good. I don't like the Expert Editing challenges. Especially on something as big as "Best of..."

Last year, voting was two weeks. Good thing too - there were like 900 entries...

I'd processed mine using the old advanced ruleset.. And now I don't know what I did to make it look so much better.. damn

I'm in no rush for it - I'm only about halfway through my 2007 shots and that's about when I started bracketing nearly everything that wasn't moving. That hardest part will be decided which to process and then picking the best.

If it was legal under the old set, it should still be good now. Or did I miss something completely obvious.
And, AFAIK, there will be a Best of 2007. But, we're working on SC time here, so it may still be a bit early.

The major difference is the size and I'd been silly enough to set it at 150kb and 640 but I've managed to reincarnate a better version..

I say Best of '07 = Expert study. As long as you took it in '07 you can compile as many as you like to create what ever oddities your imagination desires. :D
