It's backwards - newest on the top instead of bottom. I know it should make sence this way but it just hurts my head - Is this a perm change?

I feel too inadequate to make a properly witty reply, but there must be one out there.

Just click reverse at the top to get it to go back....you must have clicked it by mistake.

| Your preferences may have somehow gotten changed. Go to My Home>My Preferences and under Forum/Discussion Preferences, uncheck "Reverse Replies" |

there is also a "reverse" button under the "post reply" , on this page

No - My profile has reverse off.... If I click on "reverse" in the conversation to flip then old -> new, I get the message that it will only remain active for the session blah blah. It's as though it's completely um... reversed fom what it should be :shrug:

Yep, if "reverse" is unchecked in your preferences but replies still appear "newest first" then click "reverse" at top right of any thread. This setting is "sticky" and if you accidentally click it, all threads you view will be sorted this way.
ETA: after you click "reverse", make sure it says "ascending."
