I don't know if this has been posted before, but apparently Canon Sweden leaked that new Canon bodies (new rebel and new 5D) will be announced on January 24th, 2008.

Hmmm, didn't think it would come this fast. I may not have replaced my 5D body so quickly this month, but we'll see if it's actually 16MP and how the noise does with the smaller pixel pitch.

excellent. I've been wanting a 5d for ages and this means the price will drop to a figure I don't have to rent my ass crack for! Hurrah

Hmmm, ass-crack rentals.... An intriguing business idea. Useful for bicicle parking, and a host of other applications.

| It will really be interesting to see what features appear on the new 5D body. I'm definitely not in the market for an upgrade at this time, but nonetheless, interested in the outcome. |

| Hmm might get one if those are the specs and it´s about the same price as the 5D was when it came out. Mine 5D is getting a bit old, 25 months, and 145.000 pictures and it just feels weary at this point... |

Just drop it in the ocean and get insurance to replace it. :) Mine has less than a hundred shutter actuations now... |
