Sounds sweet! I really need to motivate. While I prefer the Advanced Editing rules I could go for the open challenges and hone my fotog skills!

Throw me into the mix please!

Well, I think maybe we should come up with the punishment BEFORE the challenge month begins... that way, if it's really bad, we are scared into doing well LOL

I suggest rotating the pairs each month, so we all get to play against each other.

Who wants to compete against a Bear?

Any other votes for this suggestion?

I would play if there was anyone interested in going up against me.

I need to drop out, sorry! A family matter has arisen and I'm not sure I will have time in the near future to take part?

Sorry about this, but can you assign someone else with Rooster?

Thanks.

The way my current round of entries are going you would have me beat handedly.

I would like to get in on this. Should be easy enough for all of you to whoop on me each month......

While I admit I went to public school ... I'm not following.

2 people go head to head for a month, all open challenges - highest single score that month wins

then what?

Originally posted by DowseDesigns:

The rules are simple. You and your competitor will compete in the open challenges for the given month. The highest score for that month wins and the loser has to take a photo decided by and voted on by the winners of the competition. Only open challenges can be used for scoring which opens competition to both members and non-members. The scores will apply to the month when the challenge was announced. The first contest will begin with the announcement of next weeks open challenges.

Loser has to shoot a profile photo of the winners choice to be displayed all month. Repeat for the next month. Maybe we'll have a grand finale at the end of the year... It's a work in progress, what can I say.

ETA: Still room for 7 more.... Melethia you in???

Then we do it all over again, month after month for an entire year.

I'll pass, thanks. I kinda did a head-to-head with timfy for awhile on my own, and not only did he beat me 9 out of 10 times, but the last one was a shot that ended up in my personal top 5 and he STILL beat me. Just can't compete with that.

So you got all of the thrill of competition without the public humiliation afterwards. Sweet!

Hahaha! I asked for volunteers. Minutes later the Rooster proposed an avian/ursine matchup. Then timfy-the-foo said he'd play if anyone would take him on. Fast-forward to lineups, and I see I am pitted against one of the great ribbon machines in DPC. I smell a liberal dowsing of malicious glee here :-)

Bring it on, Tim!

Someone obviously thinks you are well matched. I can not wait for this to begin, although being matched against Karmat means I will be paying my dues many times. This may be the motivation I need to get me out of my mediocre rut.
