| I'm still submitting and stuff, but I don't know how into it Barbara is. With everything that has happened in her real life in the past few weeks, I wasn't pushing it. . . . |

Dude congrats on the 15th anniversary. As far as anyone else being alive in this thread, I think about 1 or 2 people other than us are, but they'll come back sometime.

| I am here, but Rooster has had, umm, bigger fish to fry. She got married recently (Yay Rooster!!), so I hope when her life gets a little more settled again that she will be back. :) |

So is partners the last one for May? Thanks for the comment on my pic in Male portrait btw, I was quite satisfied with my self portrait, and still am, but the voters were pretty harsh, and three of the commenters were extra harsh, oh well though. Keep me updated on your score.

I don't understand the comment you received about everything being too dark - your face is quite bright. And the guy who talks about a tripod is an idiot. I just poked through the other comments he's left. I'd be willing to bet he's 14. He certainly behaves like one if not (no offense, but not all teenagers are as composed as you). And hey, Larus gave you really good feedback.
Just look at the commenters' score on my male portrait vs. the overall score. Clearly there were plenty of people, including a couple of commenters, who just didn't like what I did. No sweat. I rarely manage to please everyone. :) Hopefully everyone will help me identify technical flaws. Then I can best create the image I intend, and see who likes it.

Yeah the tripod one made me angrily laugh, and yes I looked through his comments too, I'm not really sure how my shot deserved a one for having too much negative space, I thought that people might dislike the negative space up top, but I think it balanced the background and I liked the texture.
I actually emailed Larus, he mentored me for a while, so I emailed him the picture and asked him to critique it because it was falling quite short of what I expected. So rather than emailing me back he just got on and commented the actual shot. He didn't vote on it, but I really appreciated the comment, I figured he would know why it was doing poorly considering he has mastered portraits.

Oh I forgot to tell you, I'm in night sky challenge, I'm sitting at a 7.9384 with 79 comments and 16 favorites, so you should probably just self-dq and not worry about even finishing the partners challenge.
