This is an image a few months old, the original picture was nice, but just not visually appealing, so I decided to touch it up in PS. With all the effects, it looks distinctly 'old', and without the jet trails, someone might think it was a hundred years old.
It looked very nice in print, with a 2004 calendar on it.

| I agree with removing the contrails if you want the old felling. You should also add some grain to the photo. If you are good at photoshop you can make the corners, and edges look faded, or add a stain to it. I have seen some photographs that have been modified to look old, and the results were very good. |

I couldn't see the updated version. Just got a red x. I agree with the comments about a bit of fading and grain would add to the aged appearence. I can see that being a nice aged shot without the jet streams.
Here's an example of one I did of my photos. The original shot, and the "aged" look:

Thanks! That composition just seemed to lend itself to the antiquing effect. It's also one of my favorite shots...and taken with a Mavica FD92! Cameras don't have to be fancy. I did upgrade to the 717 so that I could make prints of favorites, but I really liked that 92 as well.
