Does anyone know how to get rid of the flash spots on the wall and on my sisters skin in either photoshop or could you tell me of a better way of taking the picture. I don't have anything other than a camera. I tried to flash a light at the wall and turn the flash off but I think that made it dark, I tried shooting from different angles, but out of everything this one and the other on my profile were the two best. Does anyone have any ideas?

If an onboard flash is your only choice, you can do two things to help the situation:
1) move your subject further away from the wall
2) diffuse the flash (here is one thread on the subject)

If you have a flash which can swivel it's head - try "bouncing" the flash off of the wall behind you or to the side... that way the light is really diffuse and the specular highlights (technical term for the white spots if i remember correctly) wont show.

Otherwise you can try diffusing the light coming from your camera's flash with tissue, tracing or just plain paper. Doubt it would be as effective as doing the bounce as explained above.

If you have an offboard flash which doesnt swivel then you can actually take the thing off the camera set it to manual, point it at the place you want the light to bounce off... set the camera up on a tripod, use a darkened room, a long exposure and shoot the flash manually when the shutter is open...

Hope that helps :)
