Svetlana's expo is up and running and the hordes of indifferent quasi-humans are filing by... All tired out but happy, she was.

And her Russian chum came along...

Woot! Way to go Jayson!

Peter, lovely shots of our own silverfoxx...tired as she clearly is she still has that magical glow about her.

I just entered in misunderstanding. It should be on the back page contending for the brown, but hopefully everyone will get a laugh out of it. I sure did when i took it.

Looks like there will likely be about 75 entrants or so for misunderstanding...anyone know what the modern low number of entries is?

Sure... pet portrait challenge now, when I no longer have a pet. :( :( I miss my kitty.

Reflections without scores are up in our results thread. Congrats to levyj413 for a very impressive top score, and personal top 5 on top of that!

Clowns last month only had 51 entries.

I'm right there with you on this one. Being an out of the box thinker, how about the ashes of Spencer. Think I would get alot of DNMC.

I'm going to be totally stuck to the update button this week.

I'm in for Misunderstanding (getting trounced at 4.75), and have entries in for Peace, Pets, and Free Study already.

Thanks, meyers and Bruce! It was another fun week for me. :) I owe a lot of comments!

Ernie, you can find great challenge stats by going to the challenges menu at the top and choosing "challenge history." There are lots of columns, all of which are sortable.

Here's the list sorted to show the lowest number of entries at the top.

Not to sure about the DNMC votes, but it would make my eyes watery. :(

Like I got a snowball's chance of finding the TS barn cat now!

I guess I'll just have to take a shot of one of the menagerie here.

Lucky for me, we bought a guinea pig yesterday. :) She holds still much better than the gerbils!

So she is a guinea pig in more than one sense. :)

Ideas for Peace

Take a photo of someone you hate. Make him beautiful.

Dismantle a bomb and stack the parts in a pyramid.

Bury your camera and take a picture with the remote.

Make enough pie for everyone.

And with a philly accent, "peace of pizza".

Don, thank you for both your comments and the 9 ( my highest score) in reflections, I want to also thank you for “getting it”, LOL, few did.
It was somewhat inspired by the nights before performance of the Blue Man Group ( and folks if you get the chance, spend the money, you have never seen anything like it), Not because of anything specifically they did, but the creativity of the show.

Hi all

Ok just broke my second belt of brand-new 40-grit sandpaper today so I'm taking time out before I either a)resume the attack or b)have a glass of cheap Cdn red.

Bread sucking along nicely at 4.6. Many good comments and they all agree my shot is too dark. Bah.

Have a shot for pets, had one for leading lines but as I shot in RAW (actually NEF) am having difficulty on how to convert it...I did download a free RAW conversion program but guess what, only works on Nikon D50 and up. I have a D40. I have Photoshop 8.0 CS.

Jeb, Ernie, any suggestions?

I really should try to do some voting too while I'm here.

Hello Susan. I think you should eat the bread (not the moldy stuff from the picture) and drink the wine. :)

Ok, if you go here you can download the free Adobe DNG converter. Basically it is a pain in the ass, but it will let you import your raw d40 files into this converter and convert them to adobe DNG files (still a type of raw format, stands for Digital Negative) and that DNG file will be recognized by PS CS for you. I think it will let you batch process so you can likely do a bunch at once and then work normally from there, but with DNG files instead of RAW.
