Just call me Meyers.

If I commented, it means I gave you at least an 8, as I've only commented on the entries that really captured my fancy so far. Looking forward to seeing which one is yours!

Woohoo! I got a fav on my Six entry. Purpleflutterby13 helped me a lot by recommending small but very effective improvements.

e.t.a.: Oh boy, I just got a fav on the Best Of entry also. What a great day this is.

congratulations to all who deserve - Barb! woohoo! Jeffery and Robert - nice scores and placing, and lea - what a sweetie. brian - fingers crossed health returns soon.

i've been doing some soul searching of my own, and have come, i think, to the sad conclusion that we'll have to move back to the city. the shop needs both of us, and it's too far for the sprog to stay in school here. that, and i'm just not coping with a bigger house, and it seems silly to have two houses when i can barely care for one. so, i've been a bit distracted of late. gah.

and i didn't get my wonderful idea for 6 done - a quiet portrait showing 6 fingers on my left hand, called polydactyl. it was going to be a whole take the shot, cut out the little finger, stick on the little finger, retake the shot... thing. o well.

I think there will be a heck of a lot more 7 and 0 shots after this Best Of. (and congrats to Jeffrey on his own first 7 and 0 shot!)

We spent our way too short honeymoon driving up the old historic Route 66 from Flagstaff to Williams to Seligman. I took literally hundreds of photos that I now need to process.

Today as I was running errands I spotted an old abandoned sugar beet warehouse that I had driven past (just one street over) hundreds of times and never noticed. I was actually invited into a portion of it to take photos, but was a little rushed as the men were leaving forever !!!

I have this wonderful huge project now and will be showing you the best of the best. i LOVE abandoned buildings and old roads :-)

Is anyone else entered in "childhood"?

I have working phone service at home now - yay! (And "free" calls to the US even - with "free" being included in the base price). Still no internet, but maybe tomorrow. And my new toy arrived. Think I shall go see what it can do.... They won't miss me at work, right? After all, I haven't been here for ages... :-)

I am entered in childhood, not a DPC friendly image by any sense of the imagination though.

I'm in Childhood, with a shot that might be worth a 5.

I have been wondering the same thing. I even searched her website and blog for new activity, and nothing since around November. One thing a bit troubling is that she said the bones in her foot healed improperly, and she can't walk right, is in pain all the time, and will never be able to dance again. She was also an avid tennis player, so that is probably out now too. Her pictures from that time looked troubled.

Now I'm curious which photo is yours !

I don't have to enter Childhood because I never left it.

I'm in for Framed. Nothing spectacular, but it was taken with the sexy new lens. That's the fun part. :-) Of course, to properly use said lens I should have a tripod and lots of light, but hey - one works with what one has, right?

You seem to have a lot of sexy lenses, Deb. Which one are your referring too?

Well yellow is sucking along nicely and so is six. From the comments I'm getting I need a class on how to set up a photo shoot, better lighting and better background. At least they are comments that I can learn from.
