Someone must be trying to increase their number of comments made, or perhaps qualify for 100% comments on a challenge. I received a comment on my River shot that simply said, "ok". They're not going to get a lot of helpful check marks with comments like that.

Heh. I received "ok" a while back and it's one of only three comments I haven't marked helpful. Turned out it was a 9-year-old girl.

Both Abandoned and Rivers are truly truly sucking. Both below 5. I blame the weather. Bleah!!!!!

Susan, so you are the one that just sent me that nasty snow that just started falling a half hour ago? Thanks so much... can you send a snowblower with it?

Heh Ernie, actually no...I didn't send any snow...in fact it was during that damp/rainy season about 10 days ago that I shot those two currently cruising at under 5. However, wind is currently blowing bags of garbage everywhere, so once I'm done here I'll likely go home and watch the DVD you sent. On my DVD player no less :-)

In for Childhood, went absolutely berserk (for me) on the saturation esp. Don't think there is such thing as too much pp saturation now, is there?

Lea, the pug looks adorable, hope Hooch is a good fit with your family!

Hi guys! I'm supposed to have some time off away from the office and all, but since the office has the computer that has the link to the outside world, I'm here anyway. Problem with that is people keep coming in and talking work at me! Ah well. It's OK. Anyway, just wanted to say hi. :-)

Hi Deb! Hopefully you'll have internet at home soon! Maybe ask them for those days off after you get hooked up and work now.

Put a sign on your desk thats says "I'm not really here I am just a figment of your imagination, if you talk to me people will think you're crazy."

Keine Schnee (no snow) but I did go out and shoot the ground for you guys. At least shot a leaf or two. Shot some birds, too. I'd forgotten how heavy the 30D is! And that in Germany this time of year, one shoots at an ISO of 400 even midday. But it was nice to get out and shoot just the same. There's a chance I'll get internet at home in about five days, which is extraordinarily fast for here. Keep fingers crossed!

Deb, I only got to know you about the time you left for you big sand adventure. I am really looking forward to seeing some of your stuff from Germany. I lived in Germany for a couple of years when I was a teen, I would so love to go back and see my old stomping grounds.

Chris and I got married yesterday at the Maryvale courthouse. When we walked out of the court room, all of the people waiting outside cheered us, which was wonderful. Chris's family took us out for a very nice dinner.

Today we are off to a weekend of cold and snow in Flagstaff AZ. Should be some wonderful photo ops. We are stying in a resort on a golf course.

Jutilda, I wore the funky socks you sent me, as they have become my lucky socks.

Now to decide if I want to change my user name. BAEncinio does not have the same ring to it as BAMartin I think.

Lea the newest member of your family is very cute.

Barbara what exciting news, congratulations!

Barb congrats. Have fun this weekend. Lived for 22 years in Az, and if I ever move back I'd move to Flagstaff it is a cool town.

Huge congrats to both Lea and Barbara on, respectively, adding to their family and getting married - the very best to you both. *HUGS*

Deb, even that leaf looks German, lol! If you're ever in Iserlohn, that's my original stompin' grounds as I was born there, my dad was in the Medical Corps with the Canadian Air Force and Mum was still a Brit, so technically I have triple citizenship.

Anyway, so glad you're on friendly turf now.

OK obviously I'm not a water person cause Rivers is still sucking at 4.7 but at least Abandoned is over 5...barely...

Can't wait to see how Childhood does. I really think it'll end up on my homepage.

edit: wow, no wonder my Abandoned score sucks! Lots of wonderfyul shots and so sad, so many of them. Now I'm gonna go grab my Nikon and shoot what I should have entered for Abandoned!

Wow. Congratulations. Far out. Here's to long life and happiness, etc.

The other day, Jan 11, to be more exact, wife said to me: "Do you know what date it is?" Oh, yes, I knew what the date was just by looking in the bottom right hand corner of my screen. It transpired, though, that we had both managed to forget our anniversary which is on the 6th. We both felt pretty good about that :-) As for changing her name - never even thought about it. Some do, sometimes, in this part of the world, but the obligatory name-change is a thing of the past.

Have fun and loads of anniversaries and no hang-ups about remembering them :-)

How nice to hear all this good news!!

Welcome "home", Deb, I'm so glad you are back to relative comfort and normalcy.

Congratulations, Barbara. This is awesome news. Here's to many happy years for you and Chris.

Lea, I'm glad you have your new dog. Things seem to have worked out well. He's very cute.

Congratulations, Barbara!! Glad to hear the lucky socks paid off. :-)

Nice new addition to the family, Lea, and the name suits perfectly!

Now that we have an actual SteveJ and not a formerly formerlee, the Steve imposters will have to pick a new imposter name. I believe Bruce is already taken. (Can you imagine how confusing this must be for "outsiders"?)

No new shots of Germany just yet. I've been sitting on my slightly heavier derriere reading alot. But I ordered my "end of deployment present for self" and when it gets here, I'll take it out to play. (Hint - sexy new lens.)

Hi! all at the Oasis not wishing to cry on your shoulders so keep smiling, I have been through the wars over the last 3 Months and have appreciated your support through this time. Except when in the hospital ICU I have been living with a pain level of 8/10, caused by severe sciatic nerve damage as well as my cardiac condition and have been on oral morphine, this in itself has been having an effect on my results to the level of processing and the finish, to me it looks good (maybe that is how I think at the time, but thats narcotics)) and when I see the score my moral drops, but I would like to thank you all for your comments 23 on 1 entry, and this tells me what I am not seeing. DPC has kept me going and if you can put up with the finished product so can I. I am writing this as this is a better day :):):)

We're with you, Brian. It's participating, not winning that makes life worthwhile. So glad you're staying with us. I hope things will improve for you soon.

Challenge Results will be delayed (unless someone does them for me) until maybe tomorrow. I'm in California (woohoo! so much warmer than Chicago this weekend!) and won't be near an internet connection for the next several hours.
