I'm currently trying to decide between making a silk purse out of a sows ear or polishing a turd.

Don't think so. The challenge details say you have to make it look extraordinary... =)

How can I make the wall in front of the downstairs bathroom toilet look great? I stare at it every morning in a zombie like fashion with meaningless thoughts fluttering through my head while the drive time news blares on the TV in the other room at 5 A.M.. Then the kitten from hell comes in and attacks me, see strange kitten picture on my profile, and the wall becomes oblivious and bland, once again.

How do you make splatter texture look so good someone will give it a 10?

How about a photograph of a room full of photographers photographing a terrified looking domestic pet? :)
