		Absolutely fascinating.

 Simultaneously inspirational and intimidating.

The video is fascinating. Thanks for sharing!

When I speak to groups at my agency about Web 2.0, I use DPC as the perfect example. Langdon and Drew created a big database with navigation and community-building features like forums, but almost no content. Then the world filled it with content, and continues doing so.

 When I joined 18 months ago, I never would've dreamed I'd:
 - make friends around the world
 - meet many of them in person
 - become a part of two different teams, most of which have never met, that have remained in existence for more than 6 months in one case and a year in another
 - join with several others to buy a new camera for someone I knew only electronically
 - join with several others to buy flowers for a DPCer who was injured
 - leave more than 5000 thoughts on other people's images
 - read more than 3500 thoughts from other people on my images

Glad I'm not the only one who was struck by this one. But then, I'm a stats junkie. :)

		| Just held one of the "$100 laptops" in my hands yesterday. It was very cool. |
