Yahaay, I've spent the last 6 hours working on this shot. I wasn't going to enter, but after seeing how few entries there were yesterday, I had to give it a go. Well, the competition has grown considerably since then, up to 88 entries! Oh well, I'm pretty happy with the last minute edit, and the voting has started well...

I'm having a tough time voting (I didn't enter) because most are just photos of stuff. I thought it was to convey the idea of "I bought it on ebay." Am I being too picky?

There's a very good chance I misunderstood the challenge. I thought eBay was the place everyone sells their mostly worthless crap and people actually buy it. Then again, I've not really ever used eBay, so the chances of me misunderstanding are quite high.

ebay is a largely unregulated market place. This has good and bad sides. I dare say there's a cliché perception out there that's in demand by some voters and it's pretty likely to be a US-centric one.
I got this roughing out gouge from an ebay seller in Scotland:
the price was good, the quality's great and I couldn't find one for love or money at the time in Norway. |
