Is an overlay layer allowed in advanced editing? What about the lighting effects filter?

| Different blending modes are allowed in advanced editing, but be careful with the lighting effects filter. It is allowed, but if it blacks out the background or creates a significant spotlight effect, it may be considered a new feature in the image. That could be grounds for DQ. If you have done something you think might be iffy, submit it to the SC for pre-validation. |

Only of the same exposure: "You may overlay two copies of the same original file and process them differently to enhance dynamic range." |
