I finally bought a canon rebel XTI to replace a fugifinepix point & shoot camera. I got two kit lens with it but I am wandering if I can use the older canon lens off the 35mm film cameras. I would like a really good lens and right now cannot afford the better digital lens. Could some one tell me which lens from the older models would fit and be the best value? I shoot everything from landscapes to people to wild life so would like a multi purpose lens.

Thanks Scott

Any lens with 'EF' on it should work nicely. The older 'FD' lenses will only work with a mount adaptor.

Greatly depends on your budget. I just purchased a third party lens the Tamron 17 - 50mm f2.8. This is a great walkaround lens covers a great focal lengthand produces excellent results at a reasonable price.
